Share passwords securely
Secure Send lets you share passwords or sensitive text with anyone — even if they don't use Geslar. The data is encrypted client-side before leaving your device.
How it works
Client-side encryption
The text is encrypted in your browser with AES-256-GCM before being sent. The server receives only the encrypted blob.
PIN protection
You set a 4-8 digit PIN that the recipient needs to enter. Send the PIN through a different channel (e.g. phone call).
Auto-expiry
The link expires automatically after a set time: 1 hour, 24 hours or 7 days.
One-time read
Optionally, the message self-destructs after the first read. Once opened, it's gone forever.
Sending
- Open geslar.app and go to the "Secure Send" section, or click "Send" on any record in Škrinjar.
- Enter the text or password you want to share.
- Set a PIN (4-8 digits).
- Choose expiry time and whether it's one-time read.
- Click "Encrypt & Send".
- Copy the generated link and send it to the recipient.
- Send the PIN separately (phone, in person, different app).
Receiving
- Open the link the sender shared with you.
- Enter the PIN.
- The message is decrypted in your browser — the server never sees the plain text.
